The BlackWire Group does on site computer, network and account security work for small businesses that do not have an IT department and do not need one. Our work emphasizes practical fixes, a written report and accounts that are actually locked down. As an example of the effect a documented baseline has, the report from one checkup can be handed to an insurance agent, a board, or the next person who touches the machines.

Visits are made in Lake County, Illinois. See Service Area.

The current offering is the Small Business Tech and Security Checkup, version 0.1, $149, 60 to 90 minutes on site, followed by a written report.

The BlackWire Group is operated by Keraneaux. Visits are delivered by the person who writes the report. Ongoing support is described in writing before it begins, and no work starts until you approve a scope.
